In order to have a successful marketing campaign online you must a well thought out Landing page.

If you have the best advertising available and are dumping thousands into it every month but don’t have a solid Landing Page you will still fail.

I have put together a list of 5 Tips to improve your landing page that I have learned through my years in internet marketing… Enjoy!

1. K.I.S.S. – Keep It Short & Simple

One of the easiest traps that are easy to fall in when making a Landing Page is loading it with a ton of info.

You may think that what the people want to see but that is going to deter them from actually giving you there name and email address.

So the idea of giving your visitors solid info as soon as they reach your page is a bad idea.

All that you should be doing on the landing page is teasing them peaking their curiosity enough for them to want more.

By giving them too much they won’t be inclined to give you their email address and continuo on to the next page… BUT!
If you just leave them curious about what it is you are offering by just a few sentences they will be more interested in what else you have to say.

2. Don’t Use Video

I’ve seen the test results and the landing pages with only like 3 or 4 sentences outperform the pages with video every time.

Having a video is just like having too much content or you landing page because it gives the visitor the false sense that they already know what it is that you have to offer.

So instead of feeling like they have to find out more they leave thinking they’ve heard this before.

Be creative develop some good copy 3- 7 sentences and your goal should be to just peek their curiosity nothing more.

3. Establish Trust

This part is pretty basic but you’d be surprised how many marketers continue to leave this out.

When someone gets to a landing page and must give their email address they need to know why they can trust you with this info.

So what you do is include and email privacy statement on your page and tell the people why they can trust you with their email address.

No one likes a SPAMMER.

4. Incentive

This is also known as the “What’s in it for me?” system, why should someone give you their email.

Ok you’ll let them access your next page and see what you have to say but what else is it for them.

One of the best things you can do on a Landing page is give them something of legitimate value for free.

Now mentally they can see it as a fair exchange their giving something and getting something back in return.

5. Congruency

What ever advertising you are doing its is vital that it is congruent with the landing page.

Even down the to the color scheme it’s important the path from the ad to the landing page is seamless and natural.

The visitor wants to feel like they are at the right page so if they end up on a page that looks like nothing they have never seen before they are likely to leave in just a few seconds.

So what you do is use the same language on the landing page as you do in the ad and many times it is a good idea to keep your ad headline and your landing page headline the same.

Use these tips and give us your feedback on what works for you on your landing pages, we’d love to hear from you.
